During the end of the year 1982, representatives from fifteen Japanese pest
control companies came to Thailand with the desire to meet and exchange thoughts
with Thai pest control companies. The meeting was then held by Mr. Morris
Kerr from Care Pest Control. Twenty Thai pest control companies participated
in the event. This was the first time that fellow Thai pest control companies
gathered and shared their views. The idea of forming a group of local pest
control companies then emerged.
The first meeting was organized by Mr. Visooth Lohitnavy,
then Manager of Pest Control Division, Wellcome (Thailand) Co.,Ltd. Pest control
companies were invited to the company's conference room. There was a talk
on establishing and registering an association. The organizing committee was
set up using the name "Pest Control Business Group".
Mr. Visooth Lohitnavy was the first chairman of the group. The group was licensed
as the association by the Office of National Culture Committee and
the Police Department on the Eleventh of December, 1985.
